We rate Nehimba pretty highly, with its fabulous location and wide range of activities. And don’t forget your camera, as the views from the hide are well worth capturing and savouring for years to follow.

It is situated approximately 13km outside the eastern border of Hwange National Park, within a private concession totaling 25 sq. km. It is only 10 minutes’ drive from Hwange’s airstrip. The lodge is fairly new, having opened in Summer 2013.
Somalisa Acacia Camp
Somalisa Acacia is a great little camp for travelers in search of that authentic safari experience. However, due to the prevalence of big game in the area, we do recommend that children are constantly supervised!
Somalisa Expeditions is an awesome option for traveling looking for authentic safari experiences in a wildlife-rich region of Hwange.
Daka Plains Camp
Boasting a fabulous location within its own concession, Daka Plains Camp is able to offer night drives as well as morning/afternoon activities! This is a smashing little property with a highly exclusive feel.
One of the latest offerings from Machaba Safaris, Deteema Springs provides comfortable accommodation in a scenic and wildlife-rich area of Hwange!
Verney’s offers a very comfortable base camp from which to explore the wildlife-rich Hwange National Park! Both land- and water-based activities are available here.
Ivory Safari Lodge
We really rate Ivory Lodge, as a fantastic base to explore Hwange – and thanks to the hide, you do not even need to leave camp to see game.
We rate Camelthorn pretty highly, for its effortless combination of authenticity and comfort – and, of course, for its interest in ethical tourism. It is a great option for travelers who would really like to get to know the area around Hwange!
Hwange Bush Camp
Hwange Bush Camp is semi-permanent camp, taken down every November and put up again in readiness for the beginning of May.
Hwange Mobile Camp
It is one of several mobile camps operated by Kazuma Trails, a company owned by Antonette and David ‘Bushdog’ Carson.

We are happy to recommend Khulu as an exclusive little lodge with everything going for it – and if you have a passion for painted dogs, a trip to the Research Center is a definite draw!
Tom's Little Hide
Tom’s Little Hide is a fantastic option for a group of travelers, especially one that includes children. We love the authentic design of the house. Five stars!
