ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT KIRURUMU SERENGETI NORTH CAMP:
Guest accommodation consists of seven safari tents. All are super-spacious and configured as either a double or twin room. The roof of each tent extends over the entrance to provide a lovely shady veranda – set with a couple of campaign chairs and a small table, this is the perfect place to relax, have a drink, and enjoy your view! Inside, the beds are very comfy, with a 6-inch mattress apiece. Other features include solar lighting, a luggage rack, and feet-friendly mats on the canvas floor. The en-suite facilities, found at the back of every tent, comprise flush toilet, washbasin, and shower. The washbasin is positioned within a vanity unit, with mirror over, and there’s lots of hanging space too.
Kirurumu’s communal lounge and dining areas occupy a large mess tent, not far from the guest accommodation. This too has a pleasant veranda and a general feeling of airiness. The lounge space contains well-cushioned seating around a coffee table, with a selection of reading material displayed in open shelving to one side. In the dining area, there are a couple of tables flanked by campaign chairs. At the back, there’s the camp’s bar and a record player. A few wildlife pictures adorn the walls, adding to the authentic safari vibe! And a short distance from the mess tent, there’s a fire-pit – great for getting to know your fellow travelers and swapping stories.

The main thing to do here is to head out on excellent game drives.

- Keen birders can have fun spotting hundreds of species of feathery friend, from raptors to songbirds to waterbirds!
*This property is unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through. If you opt to stay here, always be alert when walking around the camp and request for a member of staff to escort you if you have any concerns. Any guest is escorted after dark as a matter of course.
