This trip combines two of Botswana’s finest safari regions to provide some seriously good game viewing! You will begin in Chobe National Park, before venturing out into the Okavango Delta.

You’ll stay at Chobe Under Canvas, Nxabega Camp, and Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge. As these properties are operated by &Beyond, all three are intimate and highly exclusive. Chobe Under Canvas remarkably moves campsite every five days, ensuring low-impact but high-density wildlife. Nxabega is a classic water camp and is situated in the western region of the Delta. It offers classic safari activities as well as the opportunity to enjoy seasonal water activities. And sumptuous Sandibe lies in the southern Delta, bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. Days 1–4 CHOBE NATIONAL PARK

Guest area, &Beyond Chobe Under Canvas, Botswana

On the first day of your trip, you’ll fly into Botswana and stay at Chobe Under Canvas. Located in the elephant-rich Chobe National Park, you’ll spend three nights at this camp that moves every five days to ensure the best wildlife sightings. There are just a handful of guest tents, making it feel super-exclusive. It is also a very immersive and adventurous camp, with your days spent going on morning and afternoon game drives, photographic safaris on the Chobe river, and romantic river cruises. Considered one of the finest wildlife reserves worldwide, Chobe never fails to thrill with its astonishing amounts of animals – lion, leopard, wild dog, hyena, civet, caracal, bushbuck, puku, and the highest number of elephants in Africa!

Days 4–7 OKAVANGO DELTA

Elephant wildlife, &Beyond Nxabega Okavango Delta, Botswana

After you’ve experienced a mobile camp, you’ll head over to the Okavango Delta for three nights at Nxabega Camp, a delightful property nestled in the shade of ebony and leadwood trees, and overlooking a channel of the Bora River. The communal areas include a spacious plunge pool flanked by sunloungers, perfect for watching out for the local giraffe after whom the property is named! We love the cozy swinging daybed on each guest room’s private veranda, enticing guests to spend time relaxing together in this beautiful part of the world. Activities include game drives, boating, mokoro, and scenic helicopter flights (at extra cost) – however you choose to spend your time here, you are guaranteed great sightings of the resident wildlife!

Days 7–9 OKAVANGO DELTA

Private dining, &Beyond Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge, Botswana

For the last leg of this itinerary, you’ll stay at &Beyond Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge. This luxurious property has a lovely location within a private concession, surrounded by wild palms and fig trees. Its communal lodge design is modeled on a local resident – the pangolin! The main areas include deluxe lounge and dining spaces, as well as a library, bar, interactive kitchen, gym, and spa. The area’s wildlife highlights include four of the Big Five and numerous smaller mammals, not least, appropriately, the pangolin. There are lots of treats for birders too. Sandibe is a dry camp, offering morning and evening game drives, bush walks, and scenic helicopter flights (at extra cost).
