This trip provides an exciting overview of South Africa, starting in Cape Town and finishing in the wildlife-rich Sabi Sands! Both properties we use are very well located and offer a great range of activities.

The adventure begins at the Victoria & Alfred Hotel, a luxurious property situated on Cape Town’s famous V&A Waterfront. After three nights here, you’ll travel to the Sabi Sand Game Reserve’s Kirkman’s Kamp. This is a colonial-style safari camp, offering comfortable accommodation in the reserve’s scenic eastern region.

During your time at the V&A Hotel, you’ll be well placed to visit many of the Mother City’s finest attractions, including the V&A itself, Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, and District Six Museum. And Kirkman’s offers vehicle and walking safaris, local community visits, and specialist star photography lessons.

Days 1–3 Cape Town

On Day 1 of your holiday, you’ll touch down at Cape Town International Airport, receiving a VIP Meet & Greet. From here, you’ll travel to the Victoria & Alfred Hotel via private road transfer. This property is situated on the V&A Waterfront, and its communal spaces include lavish lounges and two top-class restaurants. Guests also enjoy access to the facilities of neighbouring Dock House, which offers a gym, a spa, gardens, and a swimming pool! The accommodation option we’ve chosen for you at the V&A Hotel is a mountain facing room, which features a well-presented bedroom, en-suite full bathroom, and of course amazing views of Table Mountain. The shops, markets, eateries, and bars of the waterfront are just a short distance from the hotel, and you can also visit Table Mountain, the botanical gardens of Kirstenbosch, District Six Museum, Robben Island, the beautiful beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton, and much more besides!

Days 4–7 Sabi Sands Game Reserve

On your fourth day, you’ll leave the Victoria & Alfred Hotel and return to Cape Town’s international airport via private road transfer. You’ll board a flight bound for Skukuza Airport, and once you’ve landed you’ll have another private road transfer to Kirkman’s Kamp. This camp is always popular with travellers in favour of the colonial style. Its colonial lodge contains a 1920s-era lounge, library, dining room, and bar with a hunting theme. There’s a wide deck at the back of the building, where you can relax and look out for passing wildlife, as well as a very welcoming rim-flow swimming pool. You’ll stay in one of the camp’s 18 cottages. Each offers a spacious bedroom, en-suite full bathroom, and two verandas with amazing views. From this comfortable base, you can head out and explore the Sabi Sands on expertly guided game drives and walks. The reserve is home to all Big Five – lion, rhino, leopard, elephant, and buffalo – as well as numerous smaller predators and herbivores, and ample birdlife. Local community visits and specialist star photography lessons are also available.

Board basis and activities:
All-inclusive accommodation, featuring all meals, a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks, twice-daily game drives, once-daily bush walk, and transfers between the hotel and Skukuza Airport.

On the final day of your trip, you’ll leave Kirkman’s Kamp and return to Skukuza Airport via private road transfer. From here, you’ll fly to Johannesburg’s O. R. Tambo International Airport, arriving in good time for your flight/s home.
